{um, hi!}

Hey guys! Are you still there?

I'm so sorry for this ridiculously long wait! I have learnt my lesson and am not making promises that I can’t keep this time.

I was promoted to Junior VP for Asia Pacific for a company I'm legally not allowed to name on this. It’s a little exciting, and a lot stressful. I may be flying in business class since it’s for work, but I was on 4 flights within 8 hours and was home on the same day just last week. It takes a lot of hard work to balance uni, VP position, additional study and my tutoring job in a 24 hour day.

I'll be on university holidays in about 7 weeks, so I will try to start PROPER updates then. But no guarantees, I'll be in Asia for most of the break (work, again!) and France for a week or two, though that isn't set in stone quite yet.

No timeline promises this time, but a promise that I WILL return from this impromptu hiatus.

{I'm so sorry!}

Hey guys,
I’m sorry, so incredibly sorry that I never update like a normal blogger and there’s no excuse for that.
I have 3 new posts lined up but have no pictures just yet; the first will be up on Friday. So stay tuned until then.
There is a lot about me in this post, but rest assured this will be taken down as soon as my next post is up. The next post will make a lot of the unexplained absences a lot clearer.

A note on my new business venture, it’s in the process of being created and it’s the best thing I’ve ever done. It’s my passion and what I’m good at, and it’s a bigger deal than any person not in the business can understand. I pulled a few strings from my child modelling days and a few more from my VP position; so that the launch can be moved up to just after the new years (might be even earlier!).

Until Friday,
xoxo ~Teresa

{Hello | Sleep, sleep, sleep}

Sleeping Beauty

My first Victoria’s Secret shopping haul was as a 15 year old. It sounds late, but here in Australia, there are no stores and shipping is SO expensive. And since then, my collection of pyjama sets have multiplied like crazy. There’s something about comfy flannelette, soft cotton, pretty lace and silky satin that makes me lust for them without end.

Recently my pyjama of choice are a cozy set of pink and white polka dot pyjamas.

The cold, wintery Melbourne nights prevents me from buying and wearing nicer sets, but it doesn’t stop me from browsing the stores for my warm weather wardrobe.

So, here are my top 5 picks for this week:

{Outfits | Winter}

Winter Wonderland

I have always had a love of winter. There’s just something about wearing boots, gloves, cozy knits and big winter coats, while drinking coffee/hot cocoa and sitting in front of a nice warm fireplace. Sure I never have the chance of doing all of that at the same time, but it’s the thought that gets me through the cold winter mornings.

Today, I went to send off family friends who were going back to the states. Still exhausted after their big “End of Financial Year Sales – We’re going back to the states” party (more on that later), I just pulled together an outfit last minute. There’s never anything glam about getting up at 6am and going to the airport.

{Weekend | Pardon-moi}

Hey Jacks and Jills,
I know I haven’t been updating in a while, but I assure you I have plenty to write up. There’s photos without captions and posts without photos.
But between exams, work, the never ending interruptions and starting a business, I barely have enough time to squeeze in sleep, food and a little extra time to spend with family and friends.
I'm finishing off one of my last (and biggest so far) projects at work, and having a final meeting with financial advisors next week, so expect a post by Friday at the latest. Though I'm hoping I would have posted at least 2.
Until then, I hope you all have a lovely weekend. It’s wet and grey in Melbourne but at least it’s snowing up in the alpines!

{Inspirational | 7 things}

Back to black(tie)
It’s a lovely chilly Wednesday here in Melbourne today. I love the winter, but one of few downsides to the winter months is the inability to wear backless dresses and backless is usually my go to style for black tie or formal events, no matter the season. The upside, you get an excuse to wear a pretty winter coat!

With a pretty exciting ball coming up soon, I went through my stack of dresses, and found The Dress. It’s black, sequinned, silk, backless, flattering and striking. Since I bought the dress, I’ve lost a few K’s and perhaps lost a bit of my young naïve thoughts on clothing and personal style. Therefore, the dress is a just little long, and a little loose. Photos when I finish fitting it (hopefully next week!)

Without further ado, here’s my top 5 (7 in this case, they were all too pretty!) for this week:

{DIY | Clutch worthy}

Peaches and Cream
{Alexander Wang clutch}

It's a rainy and grey Melbourne day, having the perfect excuse to just curl up with a blanket and relax. A few hours of catching up on work and phone calls later, I went looking for my phone charger, conveniently left in one of my handbags and stored away. I came across an old clutch of mine, one I bought on a whim for under $10 while shopping at Victoria's Secret. Patent red leather, key shaped zipper and bright pink lining.

I used to use this as my jewellery storage while travelling but hey, it's a great clutch, why waste it?

Resolution? DIY a jewellery clutch.
